Become a PEC Instructor

PEC Safety has the largest network of authorized safety trainers with over 2100 Instructors nationwide. As a PEC Authorized Instructor, you will gain access to the most recognized and owner client requested standardized orientations and training programs. Over 1.5 million students have been trained with PEC programs. PEC Safety provides updated training materials to our Instructors through the Instructor Portal, so you will always have access to the most up to date materials for your students. PEC Safety recognizes two types of Training Providers: In-house and Third Party.

PEC Basic Orientation

This Train the Trainer program provides authorization to teach PEC Safety’s orientation-level safety training, called Basic Orientation, which is a SafeLandUSA and SafeGulf accredited program. This program was designed to take the place of multiple owner client/operator orientation courses and to give each student a general idea of safety issues in the oil and gas industry: upstream, downstream, onshore, and offshore; as well as any additional industry this orientation pertains to.

PEC Basic Orientation Instructor Criteria
  • Currently Employed as a Safety Professional or Trainer
  • Experience in Classroom Instruction
  • Minimum of 6 Months Related Experience in Construction or Heavy Industrial
  • Minimum of 1 Year Experience in Providing HSE Related Services
  • Minimum of 50% of Applicant’s Current Job Dedicated to Providing Services Related to Health and Safety Programs

PEC Safety is the technological safety resource for construction. By creating our standardized safety orientation, PEC Safe Construction, we have developed a sturdy foundation for companies who will utilize our orientation, to help develop a safety structure within their organization.

Current and potential PEC Instructors who meet the Instructor qualifications and successfully complete the PEC Safe Construction Train the Trainer course, will have the ability to offer/teach the one-day PEC Safe Construction Orientation.

The PEC Safe Construction Train the Trainer is a 2-day course. If you are a new Instructor to PEC Safety you are required to attend both class dates for the PEC Safe Construction Train the Trainer course. If you are a current PEC Basic Orientation or PEC Core Compliance Instructor, you are only required to attend day 2 of the PEC Safe Construction Train the Trainer course.
